Filipino coconut macaroons are some of the easiest dessert/snack that you can bake. It’s basically foolproof, doesn’t take a long time to bake, and you’d get a lot of macaroons in just 1 batch.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use sweetened coconut flakes instead of desiccated coconut?

Yes, you can! Just keep in mind that since the flakes are already sweetened, you might want to reduce the amount of condensed milk in the recipe.

Can I make bigger macaroons?

Absolutely. For smaller macaroons, I used a little over half a teaspoon of batter. The larger ones were about a tablespoonful. If you fill the cupcake liners almost to the top, the macaroons might overflow a bit, but you’ll get a nice, domed shape. Just remember that the bigger macaroons will need a bit more time in the oven.
