Roses on the Patio
In Roses on the Patio, I’ll take you through my personal journey of growing roses in an urban container garden. This series dives into the ups, downs, and everything in between, from the varieties of roses I’ve chosen to how I’ve set up my garden space. You’ll get an inside look at the joys and challenges of keeping a rose garden thriving in small, urban settings, along with practical tips, tools, and lessons I’ve learned along the way. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting out, I hope to inspire you with stories from my patio garden and help you make the most of your own space.

I’m delighted to see some progress in my garden. While it’s not as full of flowers as I’d hoped, it’s exciting to see things moving in the right direction. Spotting fresh buds sprouting on the stems is always a joy, even though the unpredictable weather—torrential rains one day and scorching heat the next—has kept me on edge.

September is almost over and I’ve only gotten round to editing and compiling the roses that bloomed in August. Better late than never, I guess.
