Over the weekend, I’ve been scouring the internet for anything that could help me nail the look I want for this blog. I’ve always been drawn to moody, film-like photos, but I just can’t seem to get that vibe consistently.

I also started thinking about the things I usually photograph—food and roses. If I share recipes of dishes I make, I want the food to look as true-to-life as possible. I can’t have strawberries looking orange; that would be weird.

But then I came across The Ginger Wanderlust’s Wanderlust presets, and let me tell you, I’m in love. There are so many options, and I can still tweak the photos while keeping that same overall look and vibe.

I’ve started editing some photos I took last year, including recipes I’m transferring from my old blog. For today, though, I’m sharing a few pictures of my roses.

I’ve been using presets like Cosy Golden, Golden Film, Golden Glow Pop, and Golden Hour for all the images in this post. Other than tweaking the preset levels, I’ve mostly just made minor adjustments to the exposure, vibrance, and temperature.

Roses in this post:

  1. Featured Images: Poet’s Wife, William and Catherine
  2. Vanessa Bell and Grawn Blue
  3. Roald Dahl
  4. Red Riding Hood
  5. Ariadne
  6. Abraham Darby
